mac is going to a lock-in tonight (which really seems to be just a go do a bunch of stuff and then spend 7 hours in the church-in) and I am driving kids to the first 2 stops which will keep me out until midnight. Another mother and I are getting coffee while the kids are in some sort of amusement/game place so at least I'll get some hang with a friend time.
Tomorrow, pick mac up at 7, cats to vet at 9:30, mac to a playdate at 2. I expect to watch olympics from the time we are home from the vet until bedtime.
Our house works on a defacto ransom system as well, but I must admit the box would have a certain flair.
We get up at about 4am tomorrow to drive to Dayton to fly to BWI to drive to Annapolis, for my grandfather's 90th birthday party. Nutty family members, booze, hotel rooms, possibly a tour of the Naval Academy.
Sunday we fly to Boston and drive to Cape Cod. Did I mention I hate packing and air travel?
It's Friday! What are people doing this weekend?
I'm driving back to Pennsylvania.
Nutty family members
Nutty family members who are Nutty!
I HAVE MOVED.
My apartment is obviously still a mess of boxes, and it is kind of not big enough for all of my furniture, but I am here and have cable and internet! So now I am sitting with the tv on. Huzzah.
Also, after the movers got here, I remembered about the existence of the coat closet in my old place. Oops. It's right behind the front door, which had been open the whole time, so my parents ran me back over there with the spare key I had forgotten to leave, so now I even have all my stuff!
Also also, my cat is much better after the vet yesterday, even with (partly because of?) all the drama today.
In short, everything is good right now.
I'm heading up to MI. Sunday I'll be visiting my home town, probably catching a service at my first church. Some family friends are still there, and I'm looking forward to catching up a bit. Then spending the following week doing vacation stuff.
Timelies all!
We're going to day trip Shore Leave(local media SF con) tomorrow. Sunday will be errands day.
I have a Canadian friend who just flew out for Shore Leave this morning.
