I'm 99% certain I first encountered the phrase in writing, long before I ever heard anyone say it, so not only have I never used anything but think, I'm pretty certain that if anyone around me has ever said thing, my ears and brain just autocorrected it to think and it never registered as anything else. My hand to God, I never before this minute had ever even imagined that it was anything but think.
