I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Why? It's new, and you apparently like those fancy newfangled things, hmm??

Pretty sure my second sentence explained my position. I feel no need to maintain consistency vis-a-vis old vs. new fangledness. Or, as autocorrect woold like me to say, fang lewdness.

Although, in my head, the "pike" referred to is the fish. No, I dont know how that works, but that's my association. "Thing", of course, can be anything, including a thought. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Tep, I don't know how I feel about Dora and Tai, but I'm probably more for than against. They've been flirting for forever, and I kind of like Marten without a love interest (although that can't last, can it?).

Because books.

fang lewdness

This is the entire definition of True Blood, I'm pretty sure.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Or, as autocorrect woold like me to say, fang lewdness.

Hey now (hey now now), I haven't worn my fangs since last week.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I suppose "another thought coming" is out of the question.

I'm agnostic on pipe/pike. Either one would make sense to me if someone said it.

Down the pole is right out, unless you're referring to a stripper or a fireman.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Thing & Pike! 4evah!

Yep.

First day at the new job. There's going to be a whole lot of me making up tasks for myself. What's a good resource for a Mac person to figure out how to deal a PC/Outlook/etc?

brillig

Hubby has a zombie back, though it was officially described as "donor bone."

And I grew up near the Pennsylvania Turnpike, so "Down the pike" makes sense.

I'm honestly surprised at the recentness of the uptick on "down the pike," because that seems a very oldfashioned usage.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

My god, I can't believe how many of you are wrong about "another think". I really thought this would be a bastion of sanity in the imbroglio of wrongness that is the Internet.

ita ! is me! I am SHOCKED and APPALLED at the wrongness of so many of you. Repent!

Think is clearly right. "Another thing coming" doesn't even make sense unless you're waiting for the mailman! I am less strongly affected by the pike/pipe ambivalence, therefore either is acceptable.

Shocked, I say.
