Help! I was all set to make banana bread, and I don't have a loaf pan! I swear I thought I had a loaf pan. Oh wait! I have a muffin pan. Can I just pour the batter into the muffin pan? Otherwise I have a round cake pan and a pie pan.

Muffin pan is fine, you just cook it for a shorter time than you would a loaf, and then you'll have banana muffins.
