Also, I didn't know until this week that the bikinis were REQUIRED for women's beach volleyball. I figured it was just customary/for sponsors. That's messed up.

That is messed up.
Isn't track and field the 2nd week?
Fun compilation video of Olympics competitors (in Eventing) going cross-country.
I mean, they changed it this year, but before that.
Track and field starts August 3rd.
Speaking of bikinis--I don't know if I will need a new swimsuit (or two) for my sister's birthday. I don't know if I have swimsuits that a) fit b) don't irritate the portacath c) don't irritate the shoulder. Bleargh.
However watching Arrested Development is ahead of schedule, so that's good. It's amusing, but I'm finding it harder to make it over the hump to liking most of them than I'd like.
And I'm polling the villa invitees to see if all of them have pictures of them and my sister, so we can all have our own picture on our shirt, maybe with our own slogan, and some common "40th" logo or something on it.
I'm at Ikea to get a desk for CJ. I'm waiting for K-bug to get off work and show up cause it won't fit In my car. Right now I'm in people watching paradise.
Jesse, that last good stuff post reminds me of Breaking Bad. Totally.
My god, I just had someone go off on me because I said he made a bad case for Canadian comedy by citing Myers, Rogen, Shatner, and Carrey as the ambassadors of ha. I said there was a case to be made, and that wasn't it, and he's swearing and wounded that I've let him sink my opinion of an entire country's comedy industry, and I'm part of the American juggernaut (I work in Hollywood, remember) that twists the knife in the wound of Canadian insecurity.
I've told him that any time I say that someone I barely know has changed my opinion of an entire country, it's going to be hyperbole pretty much every time (I'm assuming the "get over yourself" is a subtext he won't get) and he should doublecheck before getting upset.
Ah, humans.
Oh, hey, the publicist has the same opinion of the Bluths as I do. I am quite liking this, but I'm not loving this. Liza Minelli was pretty cool.
Given that I've been told explicitly not to wear corsets to work (where they can see them), and the employee guide says "no underwear as outerwear", one could still wear something like this, right? Since, despite nomenclature, that could never be underwear of any practical sort?
Ugh. I guess I do have to do groceries after all. Fine, okay.
