brillig

Sunsets in the desert are gorgeous. All those shades of blue arching across the sky, and enough light in the west to silhouette the mountains. Nearly ten o'clock, and it's still noticeably pale over there.

They suspect there will be scary scenes.

Well, that's true enough. It builds up slowly enough, though.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

That's pretty much what I said, Suela.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Huh. Gina Torres as Wonder Woman. [link] (the things you find when you wonder why your first name is trending).

Oh, that was a casting we were throwing around a lot several years ago, aurelia. Back when Joss was working on the screenplay (that nobody wanted).

That said, that's a fantastic piece of art. Gorgeous.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Wow, that's a gorgeous picture. Mmmmmm.

I gave blood on Monday; I hadn't done it in a while because I was pregnant, but was reminded to do so by people in CO donating in the wake of the shooting. Suzi, I hope it goes well for you and CJ.

Rose update: as I predicted, she didn't want to go to sleep in the crib at bedtime, so she slept in the rocker again. On the plus side, she had three naps in the crib yesterday, and slept until 6:30 in the rocker, so I can't really complain!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I haven't given blood in yonks; I should get on that....

I almost called out of work today, except I had a semi-important meeting, and the meeting just got moved to next week! BAH.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

today is suck a clusterfuck. I have training in a building not on the main site, but across a parking lot that I have breakfast and lunch ordered for that I need to be there to accept. Big boss in a all day meeting on site that has lunch coming in that I need to be there for to set-up. He was late to that meeting so I had to get those people all settled, coffee made (the kitchen next to their meeting room is desereted this week becuase people are on vacation, so no coffee started), plus some attendees needed assistance with getting their presentations on flash drives. Then my normal office building where I do the normal everyday stuff each morning. Then 5 people emailing me needing time with the Big Boss next week. He literally has 2 hours total available for the full week, mostly in 30 min sections. crazy cakes.

Swouncing

Skip-skip-skip because, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is Kat's birthday.

Happy birthday, Kat! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!

Also, since yesterday I failed again to have internet access (at least not for the almost-usual connection problems, just due to being away from any sort of computer all day, so at least there's that), I am late in sending birthday wishes to vw bug - so, happy second-day-of-your-new-age, and a wonderful year not-minus-a-day!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Happy Birthday, Kat! I hope you have a great day!
