Zoe: I thought you wanted to spend more time off-ship this visit. Wash: Out there is seems like it's all fancy parties. I like our party better. The dress code is easier and I know all the steps.

And cool news: Mountain Gorillas in Rwanda were seen destroying poachers' snares.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

But he had the good sense to have heart failure around two doctors (his kids), so he got diagnosed and taken care of right away.

Well, that's good! I'll just note that my grandmother has had congestive heart failure for maybe 10 years now. And of course, her major heart problems were 30 years ago.

I can just imagine the brainstorming session. "That show Revenge did pretty well and vampires are hot right now. How can we combine them?"

It's true, though.

Land's End is having a 30% more off everything already on sale sale. For those who enjoy Land's End. They have several cute dresses on sale and several in plus sizes that looked super cute to me.

For men and kids - good prices on basics. We have now stocked mac up on pants and polos for school.

YAY! - the refund on mac's hospital stay in late May finally came through. Insurnace finally paid the hospital and hospital refunded my credit card. That reduces my card balance by half. Now I can actually pay the balance off in a month - too bad I can't do anything about the over $50 in interest charges that balance racked up.

Still, to be looking at a zero balance by the time school starts is happy-making.

I can't decide if I should let myself look at it or not!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

msbelle, that's really good news!

My mattress is 12 years old. I bought a memory foam topper a couple years ago and that helped for a while, but lately when I get up in the morning I'm so stiff I can barely walk. I don't know if I really need a new mattress, or if I just need to get back to the gym.

Gorillas dismantling poachers' traps is just about the best thing ever.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I spent a while a week or so ago trying to buy some dresses on sale at Lands End--sadly, everything I wanted was out in my size, FWIW.

Also, everything at Lands End is sized really really large. I am not an extra-small, people! But I am at LE.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Goat Man speaks!

Goat Man, the fellow I posted about Monday who was photographed in a goat suit hanging with a herd in Ogden, Utah, has come forward. The man called the Division of Wildlife Resources and said he was simply preparing for an archery hunt of Canadian mountain goats next year.

“He found out about Utah and that it was fairly easy to get close to the goats to (train) to get a clean harvest shot with archery equipment,” (Division of Wildlife Resources rep Phil) Douglass said.

The man told Douglass he has hunted in several foreign countries, including Mongolia.

The man said the goat costume was made out of a hooded painter’s suit, the kind that is readily available for purchase in home repair stores. He outfitted the suit with Polarfleece to give it the appearance of fur and wore a hat backward, pulling the brim down to his chin to look like a billy goat’s beard, Douglass said.

I'm kinda' sad there wasn't a weirder explanation.
