Sure, but she's plainly been in the pocket of Big Mattress for years.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

You know, the mattress business is extremely strange.
And I'm not sure exactly what drives the economics of the industry but there's a great deal of obfuscation about the fact that relatively simple constructs of wood/springs/cotton cost in the hundreds to thousands of dollars.
I suspect it is an artificially maintained market like soda and diamonds.
I know the profit markup is high, because discount (high quality) mattresses can be had for huge savings.
And the same mattresses often shuffle among different labels for various prices.
I thought you were one of the tempurpedic people, ita !.
Our thrift store mattress is so great that I totally rotate and flip on a regular basis to keep it awesome. So far so good.
10 yrs or an average mattress 5 or so for a futon
there are now mattress with a 25 yr warranty
why do i know this -- why 2 staff mettings ago it was a major tangent
and from the current shopper for a mattress - yes the really expensive ones are better
I hope one or more of our insomniac Buffistas is getting a good night's sleep cause I, apparently, have all the insomnia.
I don't know who's got All The Sleep, but it isn't me. Matilda woke us both up about an hour ago to say that she was afraid to be in her bed (and then, after a couple of rounds of "We're right here, you're not alone, don't be afraid," dozed off again peacefully and easily), and I'm still awake and twitchy. Grr argh.
I am a) awake at 5am for no reason and b) shopping for a new mattress. We got ours used from my mother, about 15 years ago. Our first major hurdle is, I want a really firm one, and mr. flea wants a space-age foam one. The space-age foam ones creep me out and feel all wrong! I need to go and lie on one for an hour to see if I can get used to the concept.
I am shocked by the range of prices in one store. How can you sell a $99 mattress and a $2200 mattress! They are mostly the same! Our plan is to figure out what we want and then watch the (weekly) sales for the inevitable %50 off sale.
Yeah, my mattress is probably 15 years old, too. What a boring thing to have to spend money on! But I think mine is still fine?
Ours has a mr. flea sized dent, and I wake up sore in the morning. So, we are definitely due. Personally, I am expecting a sleep revelation for the price, preferably with fairy dust and unicorn dreams, goddammit.
Oops, it was me stealing again. I usually sleep very poorly the day before I travel (which sucks because I travel a lot) but last night I slept really really well. Which is good because I have three days of solo driving ahead of me.
