Cemeteries! That's where my mom taught me--lots of turns to negotiate, plus getting used to other cars at a slow speed before having to deal with them at higher speeds.

Thanks for the ideas. When I taught K-Bug, we had the empty Naval Air Station. Ok, not totally empty, but very minimal traffic and lots of roads, stops, turns, parking lots.
Suzi, I learned how to drive at the Denver Tech Center. I highly recommend. We (my mom and I) did get stopped by security to find out what we were doing, but once he found out it was driving lessons, he was fine.
Everyday we get more and more proof that people just suck.
