Jilli! [link] I thought of you. Well, after me. But I just bought a pair of flues AND I have my spanish botas, so not this time.
Today was a monday of epic 3:45 on a mondays proportions. I'm afraid I just ran away from work. I'm having a crisis of commitment. Constant crisis mode is doing me in.
Welcome back, Burrell!
I'm feeling melodramatic today.
On the upside -- Grace's new school district? The nursing department does not want to just send a health aide so they are writing a contract with our nursing provider to have our current nurse attend school with Grace. So she will work 10 hour days (oof!) for 50 hrs/week which makes me nervous that she will burn out but thrilled to have someone who knows Grace there.
And at least the school hours won't be full-on one-on-one for the nurse, but she'll get the hours anyway?
These make me think of Jilli - [link]
Well, yes, it will be one-on-one. But those 20 hours will be paid for by the district. Then we get our other 40 hours separate from insurance. So essentially 20 hours will be added! Woo hoo! Grace will have nursing from 7-5. Yay!
I just got to the bit of the Graham Norton Show where Will Smith sings the Fresh Prince theme song with the whole audience and Gary Barlow is on keyboard, and the last few hours of my day have sucked beyond the telling of it--and I have unloaded it on family and strangers both who didn't really deserve it--it did really make me smile. I need to disconnect myself from the world right now.
I can't believe 12 fucking milligrams of dilaudid and 150 milligrams of benadryl lasted TWENTY FOUR HOURS.
And I wouldn't give those 24 hours back for love or money, but I'd really really like 72.
Good night, sleep well.
These are the 'vogs I'm currently drooling over.
As noted earlier, CJ got his driver's permit today. I had him drive around the road in our apartment complex and then out onto a neighboring street that doesn't get too much traffic. Most of the streets around us are high traffic, 45 mph streets, so I'm going to have to find another area where he can get comfortable driving before having to deal with speed and traffic at the same time.
Since he is over 16, he doesn't HAVE to have paid driver's ed hours. He just needs an added 12 hours driving with me, over the usual 50. And that is over the next 12 months. So far he has 10 minutes. Wheeeee.
Suzi, do you have any large shopping malls nearby? I learned to drive at Stonestown after hours. Plenty of room to feel comfortable without destroying anything.
I did have an awesome time! I can easily see why people fall in love with the islands and never want to leave.
Yay for extra nursing for Grace!
and smonster, I do like that first pair of boots. Yowza! I am very tempted.
