Sooner or later, you're gonna want it. And the second — the second — that happens, you know I'll be there. I'll slip in, have myself a real good day.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I did not end up being late, yay, good traffic!

And us being us (Tim and me, that is) were late. Partly because I told Tim Liese was going to be late, so he dawdled.

But anyway -- we had a Liese and you (plural) didn't! And at some point I will post pictures of (1) Kate's visit, (2) Maria's visit, and now (3) Liese's visit. (I am shame.)

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

When you guys were talking about places in Clifton I went to google maps to see if any of those matched up with places I remember. They didn't, but I discovered that the entire block between my apartment and the campus is now empty! Taco Bell, Boston Market, and the bar we hung out in (Over the Rhine, I think) are all gone! There's just a grassy lot.

Inn the Wood? That was by Taco Bell. And I surely spent a lot of time there. Yes I did.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I need to work out a way to watch that movie once a day until it doesn't make me cry any more. Or fall in love.

information libertarian

They are actually now building something in that big grassy lot - a new student-apartment complex with shops on the ground floor and parking underneath.

What years were you there, aurelia? I lived on Ohio Ave. in 1995-1996, then moved to the Gaslight.

Inn the Wood?

Maybe. I don't remember. NoiseDesign might remember. eta: That does sound familiar.

I was there 96-97. I lived in that U-shaped building on McMillan right across the street from that lot.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

And at some point I will post pictures

Once again from the cheap seats non-FB participating (I have an account, I just don't use it), thank you from my heart's bottom for posting picture links. Even links to FB, I can clock in, peek at pics and clock out. If you say, "pics up on FB" I won't trawl my FB feed searching, so links is good. Those who post links to other photo sites, thank you, too.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Is there a psychological condition called fear of face blindness? I think I have it. No, I know I have it. I have been afraid that I'll forget what my parents look like for decades. It's literally the most stupid thing that scares me--I rate it as more stupid than my fear of slavery and alligators. Because those could just happen, if my luck turned really sour. Face blindness would be bad luck and a brain injury. Which just seems extra.

I can't explain that quantification in the slightest. Yet it seems pretty plausible to me...

I do hope that by the time I get dementia my parents are dead, so it's not an issue. I will assume the person in the room who matches my description is my sister, and I don't really care about anyone else so much.

msbelle, we got Thor and Iron Man 2 on Netflix streaming through Roku. We had to rent Iron Man 1 Norton's Hulk, and Captain America on disc.
