Like, where has a fair shot of not putting the hyperbole right below the byline, and sources stuff responsibly, etc. I find myself at the BBC web site pretty often, my sister would no doubt say Al Jazeera, and they do carry the same big stories, and they're pretty evenly up to date, but I'm wondering where else.

So, MSNBC news is usually the first place I go for news that's breaking. It happens rarely that I need breaking news, so maybe 2-4 times a year I go there.
In the last 6-8 months, I find my twitter feed is more than capable of giving me breaking news and linking to appropriate non-inflammatory sites.
