You wanna see a great sentence? Here's one from the gawker report about one of the victims:
In June, she wrote an essay about barely escaping a mall shooting in Toronto.
You can go read her blog entry about the Eaton Center shooting if you want. It's up on Deadspin. I'm pretty much good.
ita ! I had seen an article about her. Just horrific. The whole thing.
This is more casualties than the Columbine shooting. And not that far away from that area.
I am going to stop freaking myself out on the internet--I am going to curl up on my cuddle lounge (on which I have never cuddled--sob), and try and fall back asleep in front of some not very important TV, wrapped in the sensation of having really enjoyed that movie I just saw. Then I will wake up, and it will be later, and maybe the head won't hurt so much, and there's a muffin waiting for breakfast.
Toodles!
Oh, and inside pants.
Definitely inside pants.
Get some rest, ita !.
For the record, I am not very good at waiting. I should have just taken the car into the glass shop, where I would be waiting in a waiting room, knowing I was waiting and would be eventually seen. Instead, I am waiting, presumably comfortably with the dog at the inlaws, and jumping like a feral cat at every car that goes by.
Ha. Posting makes it happen. He's here, and right smack in the middle of his promised time. So I will calm the fuck down now, and figure out what I intend to do with the rest of my day. Rain looks impending, so I'm thinking this evening's waterpark festivities are probably out.
But -- Indian food tomorrow! Undoubtedly to be followed by Graeter's.
I need to stop watching the news. They are pre-empting everything. Must. Stop. Watching.
Steph, btw a new friend (ok, the girl I made out with Saturday of pride) was in Cincy for work earlier this week and we were chatting and I was like "dude! You have to go to Graeters!"
In unrelated news...why does my hand feel like someone took a hammer to the back of it?? I don't remember whacking it into anything but OW OW OW.
So I tried to sell some shoes on eBay and that didn't work, so I'm thinking about trying to consign them, but they aren't that summery and I also have some boots I could get rid of, but they won't take them until closer to the fall...is it crazy to move things I'm still planning to get rid of? There is a consignment place a block away from my new apartment.
