Lorne: Back in Pylea they used to call me "sweet potato." Connor: Really. Lorne: Yeah, well, the exact translation was "fragrant tuber" but…

hip deep in pie

Also superexcited that Schmidt from New Girl got nominated. He's the only thing that I really like about the show.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Did you put him in the boxes? Because in my head you did, and it's very funny.

And I'm pretty sure that is 100% a sign.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It would have been funny, but no, I just slung him over my shoulder. In his carrier. I was quite a sight.

Also, that post now has almost 5,600 notes. And we are over 200 followers! WOOT.

Because books.

A box of boxes is awesome! Although when you said you slung Homer over your shoulder, I was picturing Jesse the Shepherd. Then I got to the carrier part, and it was almost disappointing.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I hate answering systems that cut off at closing time. I know the person is in her office, but the robot won't put me through to anyone unless it's an emergency, and if it's an emergency, I should call 911.

And now I reposted a thing to Good Stuff about Christians apologizing at a gay pride parade, with a picture of a guy in briefs. We'll see if we lose any of those new followers!

We're totally (sort of) tumblr famous now -- I just saw someone excited that I followed them back. I had no idea that was all I wanted!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't like the format you chose, Jesse. I know, I know--armchair webmastering. But it doesn't show the number of notes on the posts does it? At least, I can't find them.

Still, although I will maintain I understood this was a reblog opportunity waiting to happen--this many times this quickly? Wow. I wish Tumblr showed you a reblog tree, so you could see where it really took off. I wonder if the API gives you enough information, and an enterprising third party not named me gave it a go.

For some reason I just randomly remembered a policy change at work-- we now have VTO--Volunteer Time Off, where you get a day off work if you volunteer for charity instead, in a team with at least three other co-workers.

It's a really cool principle, but I know I'm never gonna arrange that with my colleagues--someone's gonna have to...what's the inoffensive verb for Shanghai? Anyway, I won't manage that.

Unrelatedly, why does google sometimes serve pages that don't have all my search terms, but doesn't seem to be searching on a synonym or doing the "word found on page containing a link here"--what are the remaining use cases past changed content?

No, it doesn't. I think it's kind of dumb but pretty, and am not overly loyal to it, if you want to make suggestions. Almost 10K now. It's not even a great post! I mean, it's a great story, but the picture should be bigger and/or there should be more of them.
