Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Zankou is my chicken crack of choice. Do not fuck with me, Zankou, please.

Shit, I should have eaten dinner before the headache got this bad. I should have written the status report before the headache got this bad.

Well, I will hydrate, and I have some graham crackers lurking somewhere. And I will inhale Ambien, and bed. Thank god I can't really work out how to read email properly on this new computer. I might get to bed earlier.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

This is an interesting way to confront the issues. [link]

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Mmm, In-N-Out Burger.

Also? Something wet is falling from the sky. It is confusing me and scaring the dog.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

So, I got a big box delivered about 2 weeks ago. It has been sitting in my hall because it is non-perishable and while I thought I needed it 2 weeks ago, I have only been able to get to it now.

I unpacked the box and made sure my items were there and what do I see at the bottom of the box?

Two small envelopes that were next day delivery to OTHER PEOPLE!

!!!

Both were going to areas of the big hospital and looked like diagnostics and/or test results!

So I called FedEx and told them that I found packages addressed to other people in my box. What should I do?

She asked for the tracking numbers, which I gave her, and she said: "they have been looking for those packages" and I replied, "I bet" (these were next day, Saturday morning delivery for July 6th).

I told her I would bring them to my mailbox place tomorrow morning before noon. She said that is fine. I actually would have dropped them off at the hospital if they wanted me to. It makes me nervous that some poor souls have been waiting for test results and FedEx fucked up this badly.

Our wings are not tired.

I've nothing against the prayer, and certainly nothing against being closed on Sundays. Hell, I actually wish more places were closed on Sundays for the sake of the workers and to just quiet ourselves down for a day.

But sending money to pro "family values" anti-equality organizations? Yeah, no thanks. But it's not as though anything on their menu would appeal to me, anyway.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I love Chik-Fil-A, and it makes me very sad.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I'm with java on this one. It's not the Christianity that is problematic for me, it's the bigotry and discrimination.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Sometimes when I was unexpectedly admitted to the hospital, Kat would bring me a care package with clothes and trashy magazines and a toothbrush and at least once a baby, but she didn't leave the baby. I'm wearing the cherry pie pajama top she gave me right now because it's not constricting and comfortable when I have a bad headache and it made me think of that.

She's very nice.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Aww. She's a good'un, our Kat.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I totally would have left the baby, but I fear he'd make the headache worse not better. Is that hospital even still a hospital, ita?
