No, he's a tiny guy, actually, and was reading a book at the party. Shorter than me, my skin tone, hair longer I think, My brain wants to call him Suleimans,
And my brain clearly clearly wants to sleep, so I'm going to let it have its way before it gets me in trouble. It just tried again...See you on the flip side, in the ER!
Yes, that's him! He was marvellous! Really sweet and quiet and so intelligent, and very "yeah, he's like that" about Tommy.
I don't know who Tommy Davidson is (really not my kind of movie, definitely) but anyone who doesn't value ita ! on sight is kind of dumb.
I had a real "only at Readercon" moment yesterday -- I went in a little late to a panel retrospect on Chip Delany's work, sat down at an aisle seat about halfway back in the room, got my knitting project organized, started to enjoy the discussion -- then I got around to looking around the audience.
Chip was seated directly across the aisle from me.
Timelies all!
Nova is draped across my lap, as usual. At least she stopped kneading my thighs.
I just looked at the commenting system at gawker and io9.
holee fuck. what a disaster. how can people read the comments at all?
I think ita was saying it had to be about page views, because you have to keep clicking to see the replies to a certain comment, and then click some more. It's infuriating and no fun.
Liese, as I have familial obligations (Have I mentioned how sick I am of baby showers?) in Indiana on the 11th, and won't be able to leave early in the day, I don't think we'll manage to get terribly far afield.
Amy,
oh that's a good point. It has completely disabled any functional commenting at all though. They might as well remove comments.
