A friend of mine is trying to find a musical for her students (HS) to do next year. Female-heavy is preferred, cast of no more than 30, nothing horribly complicated (no Sondheim, for example). They did Bye, Bye, Birdie this year. Ideas?

Sorry for going on about it, people-who-don't-care.

I care!!! I was totally traumatized this winter trying to get Swifty to take a bunch of pills that were meant to maybe stop him from seizuring. He also was a basically easy-going cat but SO BAD at pills. And he didn't have many teeth. You'd think it would have been easier to stuff pills in him. But it wasn't.

If he likes people food, I'd try the hiding pills in that trick.

Carousel? I mean, there's all kinds of issues to get around, but there's really only one major male part.

Stupid cats. I'll see if he flips back to taking the treat easily. Could happen!

Anything Goes? Nunsense (but it is only 5 people)? Damn Yankees (we had girls play the extra basebal players, there are three good feale roles, the Devil coud be a woman, and there are 2 funny non-snging female parts)

Even if your name was Godot, would you name a copywriting service Godot Media? It would seem their clients would always be waiting for Godot.

Actually, you also only need one man to do Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, as I think all the brothers could be played by women.

I LOVE Carosel, and I have so much problem reconciling that with the "he slapped me and it felt like a kiss". But the one guy in it has to be tremendously good to sell it.

Sound of Music is already on the list.

I don't think they have the dancers for Anything Goes. Complicated dancing is...not really a possibility.

I'm left wondering if the comment I tried to post on my sister's letter was so sarcastic that it's not passing moderation.
