Natter 70: Hookers and Blow
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Yup, I miss Ohio in exactly that same way, Kat, and I also don't really think I want to go back there, but I miss it.
I need to get my papers in order because I have to go be brown in Arizona. I have to get everything again, because my long-expired passport, the only document I have proving citizenship, is in my maiden name. So I need birth, marriage, passport, everything. My drivers license, which is good until I turn 65, doesn't even prove residency, let alone citizenship.
I'm operating under the assumption that I might have heard Louis CK make a funny rape joke--or maybe I heard someone say Louis CK shouldn't have made that rape joke.
I don't remember.
My sister did send me a George Carlin rape joke to prove her "free speech" point, but my point is "why be a shitstain?" So, you know. There's that. Also, I can't listen to youtube at work, so I don't know what the joke is.
On a completely different note, in my experience, the pervert villain is usually female: [link]
Ridiculous question: has anyone seen the August issue of Vanity Fair (the one with the MSFT article) on newsstands anywhere? Yes, I want to read that. The excerpt on the site talks about Reader, which was my first job there.
so Tosh (a few months back) encouraged male members of his audience to tape themselves touching (assaulting?) women - he did this as part of his act.
And of course members of the audience did and these videos I guess are hosted on Comedy Central?

Where the hell is Matt? the 2012 video.
(dancing Matt video, the latest of a series)

le n, the second video you linked is a nice palate cleanser after the first (not that I can watch either of them from my office).

The FUCK?!?!?!
Gah, I feel dirty just having accidentally watched a few seconds of his show before TDS starts.
The comments on that first link, le n, are GREAT. I am not sure why anyone thinks it's their job to decide I don't feel threatened by being deliberately touched by strangers for no reason other than touching itself (and recording and sharing with other strangers), or that hearing the scenario of being raped by five people in the room shouldn't make you feel uncomfortable *or* if you are uncomfortable this is exactly how you should act...
Like, can't you go as far as "I wouldn't react that way, but I see that I'm not every person, not even every reasonable person" and leave it there? It's not like the responses involved lighting babies on fire and drinking their flaming blood. They were societally proportionate, pretty much. Even if they're not yours.
I was scared driving across a mesa in Arizona -- too open! Too exposed!
The Southwest totally freaked me out because it was a completely alien landscape and climate. But it also fascinated me. I'd love to go back sometime.
When I lived in Vancouver, I missed the ocean. I know, there's water everywhere! But the mountains were so dominant. And the Pacific Ocean is no North Atlantic, let me tell you.
ita, I think you missed the point. Everyone who is offended by the suggestion that hecklers should be gang-raped is a butthurt militant feminist. As noted first amendment expert "schnitzengiggles" put it:
Whole lotta bitches pms’ing in here.
