Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Aw, man. I forgot my bus ticket is for 11, and I didn't need to set my alarm so early. Zzzzzz.

I had a fitful night and just woke up as the alarm shut off. So much for hitting the market before it got hot. OK, facing it now...

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

HA! le nubian, you made me laugh.

I should get my stuff together and go swim, but I'm scared today will be as much a fail as yesterday. New house, near the pool, though is good.

Last night there was either an alien invasion or DEA was searching for something. There was about 5 minutes of flyover at around 1:00 AM. It wasn't the usual LAPD helicopters, but louder, higher altitude flyovers. It was LOUD.

I did not go look.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

We're gonna get a break from the heat!

At 4 PM today it's supposed to be 93 here. And at 8 PM it's supposed to be 76. That's quite a drop (and it's not caused by storms rolling through).

Huh.

Generally, military choppers are much louder than civilian ones. That's how I can tell Obama's flying by without even looking up.

State police sound different than city, due to enclosed tail rotors. Ditto ambulance helos.

OK, the fact that my 78ish degree downstairs feels ICY after the market and I'm completely soaked through...it's not gonna be a pretty day. And it's only technically 90 out! Fuck...

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Already freakin' hot here. My plans mostly involve being where there is ac.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

In case any of you were wondering the weather in San Francisco is not 62 right now.

It's 57. But it'll probably heat up to 62 by midday.

I encourage you all to put San Francisco on your August travel itinerary.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Still no power. Just came back from three hours at the dog beach and was hoping to come back to AC but no luck. Though I was talking to a neighbor and they have an electronic gate on their parking lot so she can't even get to her car, so it could be worse.
