Kat sounds awful. Past a certain point you can't make the students do what they choose not to. So hope your emotions catch up with what you already know, and realize it is NOT your fault. I strongly suspect, not having seen you first hand, that you ROCK as a teacher. Test scores don't capture everything. Finland, which has some of the best results in the world, deliberately does not do this kind of uniform high stakes testing.
