Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Our heat is supposed to break by Monday; I think the high is supposed to be 85 on Monday. And it's amusing that 85 sounds like heaven.

Here too. Severe thunderstorm on Sunday (no, blessed electricity, don't leave me again!) then temperatures in the 80s all next week! What a relief!

Pre-Release – Futurama Hypnotoad

Oh, I think my desk at work needs a Hypnotoad!

There is also Chino and Doc. It is insane that Kurt ended up playing Officer Krupke.

Oh lordy, this brings back memories of going to see my friend Nick (who used to very long ago post with the Pancakers and DebG), who was in law school at the time. I mean, because that's TOTALLY what you think of law students being good at, right? Putting on musicals in their spare time? And then at some point there was Chino, bellowing, and we were trying desperately not to laugh, because we all wanted to be like "I'm CHINO! I'm WEARING CHINOS!"

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

"I'm CHINO! I'm WEARING CHINOS!"

I think that is a costume rule. Thou shalt not put Chino in Chinos!

Was it an all law school student production of WSS? That makes me laugh. Although, at my college, which had a theatre major but was not at all a conservatory, nor did it really assume that we would continue working in theatre, they suggested law as a career path for the actors.

I wish this house had a better kitchen. Or that I did not hate granite countertops and "oak" kitchens so much, because I am sure the owners paid a lot of money for that remodel.

It is a good location, because I would be neighbor's with my BFF's brother who also works with me, so I could get a ride. It is also on the bus route.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Goddamned motherfuckers.

I take the heat for sending out the status late because I was still collecting it. Fine. I should have sent it out with questions and on time, instead of trying to delay for answers. I get that.

However, the really big RESOURCE REQUIRED banner I emailed out...not fucking required. And the developer who'd said we'd need the resource is trying to back out of it and saying "Well, if we don't need to recompile then we won't need to recompile." That's a really exciting sentence, and you should be proud of it. HOWEVER, DO WE FUCKING NEED TO RECOMPILE????

Oh, no.

Well, thanks for telling me earlier that we needed to recompile, because I just sent out the email saying we needed a developer anyway.

And you can bet your ass I let slip that they only just came into the office, an hour and a half later than normal. I don't like anyone right now.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

It is insane that Kurt ended up playing Officer Krupke.

Completely insane. The rest of the casting was pretty good, as I recall.

It was mostly law students--I think they had a couple of ringers (actually that would've been before he was a law student, I realize now--he was a paralegal elsewhere. So he WAS one of the ringers!). My undergrad didn't have a theater major at all, and all our stuff was extracurricular. Some of the people were awesome though, and many of them have gone on to stay with theater (and then there's like, Brad Cooper and Mike Birbiglia).

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

WHY are they acting like Tony, Bernardo and Officer Krupke are the only roles in West Side Story.

My guess is they picked the songs they would do and treated that as the entire musical.

I think the only involvement the actors at my undergrad had with the law school were the annual mock trials. The law school and the med school had the only paying acting gigs in that town.

Shoot, Sophia, for that price I'd buy it anyway, if the kitchen is the only thing you don't like! You could take out the granite countertops and sell them for enough to put in whatever you want.
