Ha! I didn't even think of that -- I always do on my way to a job interview, though...
I had queso and chips for lunch to celebrate and now I feel gross. Next, to the library and post office and stuff.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

This month I actually remembered to drop off my rent cheque on time, but I also managed to write the wrong amount. Thank goodness my cheque book has carbons, because I could doublecheck and see that I had paid them $500 less than, you know, last month. I hope the second envelope doesn't confuse the apartment manager. God knows I was confused.
My mother asked me to nag her about a favour she's doing for me (I need a copy of my birth certificate because they've upped the paperwork requirements for passport renewal, and for some reason I can't get one online or over the phone--I need a Birth Entry Number, whatever the fuck that is.
Thing is, I can't remember to nag her, so I'm setting a repeating task in Astrid to remind me to remind her.
This effort smacks of too many steps.
Good luck Tom & Jesse!
Uh oh. A Chorus Line earworm.
It took a while to ramp up, but my brain is now belting "I've got to get this jooooooooooooooob!" at full blast, so thanks for that.
Interview went very well. It sounds like they’re eager to hire me, and it looks like I’ll be able to contribute there. I’ll have to go back for one final interview next week, though. I’ll be making less than I was, but unless they come back with an insultingly low offer, I’m going to take it. Even better, since it’s a government job, things move slowly, so I’ll have a few more weeks before I start.
in a building that doesn't take students at all
In Harvard Square? Awesome!!!!
Ooh, that sounds very promising, Tom!

Get ready for everything to move extra slow! It takes 15 minutes to boot my government laptop!
Glad to hear it, Tom!
Yay, Tom!

Heh. I had one of those at my last job. You have never seen someone so happy when her computer died.
It's OK if I sit here on my ass some more, right? Maybe take a nap? I feel like my last two weekends have been non-stop Doing, and I still need the rest!
