Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Jilli, do NOT read the Jillifont. I shall thwap if you do. Don't. Everything is fine and the Jillifont is totally outside and everything is fine. Don't read it. Okay?

Okay.

There is a huge spider web on the outside of my screen door. Massive. I thought there were just a few little ones and that's totally fine with me if the spiders are outside but the angle of the sunlight just let me walk around and see that there is a big web out there. I don't see the owner. So long as they live a happily outdoorsy life, we're good. Beautiful so long as I never see the owner inside.

My eyes are really itchy. I need to go use allergy drops.

I think the National Geographic Explorer in Residence thing makes me almost forgive James Cameron for the money I paid to see Titanic. The science is cool and he really is fascinated by the deep oceans. So that was a $10 or whatever that was well spent, in amazing retrospect. I was bitter for a long time. Apparently my patriotism is watching National Geographic channel tonight?

hip deep in pie

ita, in Chrome I can just drag and drop an image into the regular google images search and it searches by image. Does that work for you?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

as well as "similar" photos--which go from really very nifty for me (other shots of the same guy in beards or glasses or whatever)

Cool!

Yeah, when I last used TinEye, it just searched for copies of the exact photo you entered. It could also find smaller and bigger versions of the same photo. Looks like that's all it still does. (But it is useful for finding the original source of a particular image.)

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

le nubian, that's awesome! I'm curious about what affordable means in that context.

I'm tempted to buy a waterproof ipod since I washed my nano and ruined it. Waterproof would mean able to swim with it.

ION, highlight of my day was a 98 year old former dentist playing "Happy Birthday" for my mom on accordion.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's cool.

OK, now it's pouring, the fireworks are happening, and I'm going to bed.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

huh, so attempting bedtime 5 min before the fireworks started, not my best planning.

Yeah, I tried that last night.

I ended up watching the fireworks from my motel room.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Sue, where are you dragging them from? I'm not visualising that. I'm mostly copying URLs from somewhere else. I do wish I could set it as one of Opera's search engines, but I don't know how I'd make them search based on URL.

However, it currently seems if I type google.com/searchbyimage it brings up the page with the box opened.

I'm not sure, precisely, yet, since Opera is weird about site preferences. Why in god's names are there URLs I didn't type in? I added "google.com" and when I went back in, there were a bunch more. Some I could see--subdomains of google. But others were sites I don't even remember visiting, and no google in their URLs at all.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

It's just not that patriotic.

Yeah, they had Amber Riley singing "Rag Doll" and "Proud Mary" on A Capitol Fourth. I feel you.
