It's been yonks since I've been to the Claremont, but it's lovely.

So I was home sick yesterday. Up in the middle of the night with chills then sweats, generally achey and yucky. slept until 11, continued feeling weak , but no fever and various foods all did fine.

This morning feel better, so came to work (mac drama llama'd but wtf, so over it - grandmama is dealing and he will owe me $35 for wasting a camp day), am so behind because it is/was month end/new month and that is 4 reports to get together and not everyone gets me their stuff and then half the people are on vacation. So anyway....they email us this morning "HEY YAY! WE CAN ALL LEAVE AT 3!!"

Except - no, no I cannot because my work is not done and boss will be in on Thursday and will want these reports. Bah being sick. Bah Bah Bah.

Bah is right msbelle. It used to drive me crazy on all those early out days when I'd still be doing my usual 10 plus hours.

I definitely enjoyed my day at the spa at the Claremont. Go for it, Consuela.

I just found out that my BFF kicked her husband of over 20 years out the door. She had sent me a message on FB with this bombshell...in the middle of a bunch of other stuff. Once I picked my jaw up off the floor, we talked on the phone. While there had been strain on the marriage, the final straw was finding out he had been molesting their daughter. I just. When they say "it is the quiet ones"...yep, at least in this case. But...I mean...OMG. Totally gobsmacked. I wish I didn't live so far away from her.

Oh, Suzi. That is terrible.

I'm sort of tempted to spring for one of the packages, just to get the added luxury and the meal. It would be a bit expensive, but it's nice to treat oneself.

Several weeks ago I saw a play called "Black and Blue Boys" and it was all about sexual (and physical) abuse of boys, by both men and women. It was well done, but also horrifying, especially when the actor took the audience into the mind of one of the pedophiles.

Suzi, that's awful. I can't imagine what that would be like.

ION, I am sitting in a laundromat in Clintonville watching Ellen.

This is the first time I've been in a laundromat in Clintonville in more than 40 years.

The laundromat I'm in used to be a bowling alley when I was a kid.

I have a ton of work to do, but have decided to say fuck it, and take the leave early, and let it slide until Thursday. I finished up the one massively urgent thing around 3pm and said "DONE". Though I still have email on my phone, so I'll see if they respond to the urgent thing with "oh crap"

Also, just volunteered to have BBQ here tomorrow (host's fridge broke). Uh oh. Need to clean house. Like WHOAH. Hope there's still food at the store.

AND, someone might want to adopt our foster cat--we've been asked to bring him in so they can meet! Roomie is upset and trying to decide if she needs to adopt him herself. :)
