Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Poor you, too, as you have clean up duty.
Congrats, LeN. Finding a place is so stressful; I'm glad at least that part is over. Did you say where you were moving? I get it if not, but I've had to read fast at points to catch up. (Unlike today, when all I feel like doing is reading here, and people are F2Fing or just out and about or whatever.) at leasts there are pictures to look at from Pasadena.
The heat has won, and I am cowering in my bedroom with the AC cranked up. Please, Flying Spaghetti Monster, do not let me lose power.
Unfortunately, my brain seems to have melted. Who wants to plan my dinner menu for this week and order groceries for me? Anyone?
Dana, I was in the same situation. Then I decided that I couldn't stand to be in the hottest room in my apartment. So I went and chopped my hair off, took a shower and am now lounging in my bedroom with my oscillating fan.
I don't know why it's cooler in here - I'm just glad it is.
Now I need to get the energy to go to the store.
You're an accomplished and creative cook, Jessica, so my menu plans would bore you to tears. All I've managed lately are sandwiches. Oh, though I did make yummy succotash last week.
Jessica, my mom always used to make pasta salad with tuna or chicken and peas with mayonnaise and some dill and salt/pepper. Not very exciting but it's my favorite hot weather meal.
I'm still stuck in front of my TV, sumi. I gave up and realized I had enough to make lunch here.
Jesse, one of my cats barfed all over my coffee table and some important papers on an end table, so I'm right there with you. It's a peculiar mix of worry and annoyance.

Great idea! Oh wait, I have to clean that up, too. Also, he usually sleeps in my bed. Stupid sick cat.
I'm seriously so tired right now that sandwiches sound like way too much work. So far I've got "takeout, takeout, leftovers, CSA pickup on Tuesday and eat raw vegetables the rest of the week."
Not sure how my kids would like that plan. Oh well, they can have cereal.
(Actually, tomorrow I don't need to plan anything because I'm going out with my sister and about 10 other people for her birthday to eat an entire suckling pig. I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS DINNER YOU GUYS.)
