So that's my dream. That and some stuff about cigars and a tunnel.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Glory hallelujah.

Now the Dems have to finally sell the advantages before November.

Yay, indeed.

I think what the thinky thinkers will need to think on is what this means for social welfare legislation. That is, the Court rejected the argument that it was valid under the Necessary & Proper part of the Commerce Clause which as been a catch-all for social welfare legislation, and trying to legislate these measures under the tax code might be much trickier.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

My FB feed is already blowing up with posts saying things like "This is a CRUSHING BLOW for all business owners! No more jobs creation!"

I've opted to not feed the stupid and not even try to reply.

this picture is a scream.

Holy shit, that's AWESOME.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Hee!

Our wings are not tired.

Bwah!

I came in late to work because I had to stay glued to the tv until the decision was announced. I felt optimistic after reading the amusing take on the speculation in this article [link] ,but then I tried to temper my optimism knowing that I have been described as hopelessly optimistic when facing certain disaster. Yes, this time my optimism was correct. Woo!

Happy Birthday, Hec!

Sullivan posted this tweet by Ben Shapiro:

This is the greatest destruction of personal liberty since Dred Scott. This is the end of America as we know it. No exaggeration.

Sullivan sez:

Nah. No exaggeration at all. Upholding slavery vs giving more people basic healthcare - no contest for the moral enormity of our current moment.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I am so relieved.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Living in Massachusetts is DEFINITELY just like being a slave and/or living in Soviet Russia, in case anyone was wondering. There are no businesses or jobs and everyone just cries a lot.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

OH HELL NO. Someone is trying to drag me into doing a huge, incredibly complex proposal for them that they have been sitting on since the first week of June and is due July 3. (Or actually, July 2 since it has to be printed and shipped, which does not seem to have occurred to them.)
