AW! msbelle's gift of an air mattress came in real handy last week. I might be through there, just earlier than TG. If we fly out of LAX (likely) I might squeeze in a day or two and visit/presume upon y'all, because the idea of a transcontinental flight+ transpacific makes me -cidal. We might end up doing hotels, but who knows.

JZ is all that and a bag of chips, with a cupcake on the side.
I think I'm supposed to be in the Pacific Northwest.
You misspelled the Bay area.
my rent is going up $300 as of July.
UGH, Jesse. That sucks.
YAY Cash mom!
YAY KBug!
Zero! Woo!
my rent is going up $300 as of July.
You could tell them no. My dad was the first person I knew who did that. They tried to raise the rent, and he refused. Of course, he was willing to move.
If the building isn't too popular, try negotiating. Can't hurt.

I can't remember if I said happy birthday to JZ. I thought it, for sure, but it has been A Day And A Half. So, happy birthday, JZ!!! Hope it was lovely and heralds a delightful year to come, and may the brain demons recede into the background and fade away entirely.
JZ, I have utterly no doubt that if I came to you and said I didn't really feel like I was all that and a bag of chips, you would not think I was fishing for compliments, but would find a gentle and sincere way to tell me how you felt about my bag-of-chipsness.
Happy birthday to a lovely friend who I wish I got to see more often. You're a treasure and a delight, and I am blessed to know you.
Wow, I got a 70 on the color test. I guess I'm kind of colorblind? I thought I was doing pretty well...
Man, the second I started moving those color blocks around, they started looking the same to me. Humbling! I thought I at least could tell colors apart!
On the other hand, at least I don't need a graphical display to tell me where 24 falls on a scale of 0-99.
Doing the test quickly, with tired eyes, I got an 11. I like to think I could achieve a 0 if I took the time.
This evening's adventures in live theatre included a power outage just as the transition between the first 2 acts was complete. Conveniently, the only actor on stage at the moment was carrying a lantern. The real fun is that you never know what won't work after the power comes back on. The hazer worked, but the ventilation did not. And a 5K fresnel with a red gel refused to turn off when it was supposed to. If brownouts continue I may start a pool on which moment in the play we lose power.
Skipping oh-yeah-again-yet-again because, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is DavidS's birthday.
Happy birthday, Hec! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!
