Art Crawl!!!

Yikes, le nubian - as my friend S. says - it's like you're trying to fit 50 lbs of shit in a 10 lb bag.

Jesse - cute dress. I have no idea. Obviously, hanging in your closet it would take up space and is the cost of mailing it really more than the amt you'd get back from the store?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

That dress is cute Jesse, but not sure what I'd advise. I had a cute skort once, theoretically, except when I put it on I look like a sausage stuffed into tennis togs. I think I wore it like twice, with a long shirt over it to hide the sausagey parts, before I finally decided to donate it.

In other online shopping news, I bought clothes for Hawaii! On sale even! Board shorts and matching bikini top, plus a rash guard. So I'll be dressed for the beach but still covered up.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh man, le nubian. You will make it through! And you may not find an ideal place to live, but you will find some place, and it will be temporary. (One year is temporary.)

omg that dress is so cute. did you find someone for the other dress?

Sold it on eBay! For more than I paid for it, but less than I had with it in the closet. Also sold that black dress with the pink taffeta underskirt, when I remembered I wore it for NYE 1999.

Obviously, hanging in your closet it would take up space and is the cost of mailing it really more than the amt you'd get back from the store?

No, I'd get more back, but on principle! I hate spending $7 or whatever to not have it.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Ack, le nubian. That's a heaping load of stress. I hope you can get through it as well as possible. House-finding ~ma, at the very least.

Jesse, I'd return it and get it in the right size, but I do most of shopping online, and I'm impatient and want to wear things RIGHT AWAY. Which is not to say that you can't lose the 5-10 lbs. necessary, but. New! Dress!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I know a size up would be too big. And it took months to get here, so no immediate gratification either way. Eh, OK, I'll send it back. BAH.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

IO9 "upgraded" their software today. This is the longest I've gone on a workday without visiting in quite some time.

But the morning developer call was exhausting, and I have to be on another one in half an hour, and I WANT TO LIE DOWN. The world, man. What's wrong with it?
