Goodness, Stephanie, those pictures are terrifying.
We made this offer to another of our Colorado Springs friends, but I think he's headed to Michigan anyway, and I know you probably have other resources, but if you need it, our house is totally available for you to evacuate to. We're out of it for the summer, and the door has a keypad, so we could easily give you access without being there.
Congrats, sarameg, that's awesome!
We had a great night with burgers and margaritas with our old friends ourselves. We were breaking in their brand new patio and pergola. We stayed way too late, reminiscing about good times and bad, and poking old wounds to get them healing, and laughing and laughing. It was marvelous, and really good for us.
Thanks, Liese. I hopE it doesn't come to that but they are saying it will take weeks to get this under control.
I need to just put down my phone and go to sleep.
Congrats, sarameg!
Pete took me out for chocolate martinis after work. That helped my mood a good bit.
Yeah, it probably will. It's such a large scale. But firefighters are amazing people, and they will do the best they can.
Yup, get some rest if you can.
Good for Pete, Jilli.
One of our pseudo-sons decided to become a wildland firefighter, after listening to Hubby. It's the kind of thing a young man in search of adventure and derring do would do. This is his first season. He's out there somewhere.
Sending you ~ma, Stephanie.
And congratulations to sarameg for her awesome science chops!
Fire~ma, Stephanie! I hope your pseudo-son stays as safe as possible, under the circumstances, Connie.
Much ~ma, Stephanie. And same to Connie's pseudo-son.
Congratulations, sarameg!
