Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

the mean and crazy they hurt.

Burn out my soul, I think you mean. Or I do.

People really disappoint me.

I did pull out the classics: "should welfare be cut to the parents or to the kids too", "sadly, giving only to those that agree with us wasn't really what Jesus taught".

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It is comforting that it's so easy to counter Christian conservatives with Jesus.

Our wings are not tired.

Kinda love you.

I mean, I don't really identify as Christian and *I* know this. Heck, I support what Jesus taught. Those are honestly good life choices.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I mean, I don't really identify as Christian and *I* know this. Heck, I support what Jesus taught. Those are honestly good life choices.

Me, too, all of this.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I shut someone down last week who was going on and on about stay at home moms and how that's the Right Way for parents to be. And I said, "What about single moms? Or poor moms? Do they get to stay home, without being called names, and be supported by the government? Shouldn't we celebrate them too and not just Anne Romney?"

brillig

Jesus himself was a wise and good dude. He'd kick the ass of most of the people who say they follow him. I'd be happy to hold his robe while he did it.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

"For I was hungry, and you said I had to have a drug test before you would feed me; I was a stranger, and you attacked me; I was sick, and you said I should have spent a quarter of my income on health insurance."

What really irritates me about this specious revival of the Mommy Wars is that the actual point was that Anne Romney is in no position to be Mitt's authority on the struggles of most American women. She "chose" to stay home with her children. Bully for her. What about the millions of women who have no choice?
