There's now a second fire burning. Rumors are its an arsonist setting the fires (there were two or three last week) which is really scary because it is so hot and dry.

So, today I've swept, cleaned off the sofa upholstery, straightened up my living room and bedroom, hung up three loads of laundry, and scrubbed my toilet. As a reward, I just had an unbelievably good 18 oz. ribeye at the steak place next door. (I'd long suspected they'd be delicious based on the kitchen venting, but except when on Atkins there's no way I'd eat at a place whose smallest steak is a pound.)
Around here we don't need arsonists, we've got idiots who go out into the scrub land and target shoot and send sparks into the brush.
Home from second party of the day -- I couldn't bear the afterparty.
I'm just glad nothing is on fire here!
Stephanie are you talking about the High Park fire or is there another one closer to you? That one is crazy big.
We are babysitting a 7 month old tonight. First time he has been left with a sitter and he is doing pretty well. He is completely adorable.
It was so hot here today and I think tomorrow is supposed to be hotter.
Yikes, Stephanie.
Suzi, it's a new one. I think the High Park one is near Ft. Collins? This one is called the Waldo Canyon Fire. the WC fire started at about noon today. Over 1000 acres burned so far; 1050 homes evacuated.
Good grief, Stephanie. "Scary" is an understatement.
Good luck, Stephanie.
As of 9m ago, twitter says 2000 acres, 0% contained. I signed up for reverse 911 calling just in case.
