Coding and Sleeping

This is exactly why I'm apprehensive regarding my workplace's impending move of email to Gmail.

I've been more apprehensive about my workpace's move to Google. Actually they've been using Gmail for quite awhile and it works really well, IME.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Got me some nice Max Martini--you never watched The Unit, Amy? Plenty of opportunity for foxholing there, lemme tell you. And its always a good time with Haysbert.

Phone keeps ringing, and I've actually been answering all day, since I've been horribly bad---but none them for me. One sounded important, and for me, and then disconnected before a person. I don't what to do there. I would like to give them my money. The others were wrong numbers and people telling me were going to send me a free package to 1550 Westwood or some other place I don't live. I told him to stick it, it's not my address, but don't try and find my address. And don't send it there either.

My day is officially done.

Cats have some smarts. Pumpkin was playing in the purple sink in the front room (not connected) and I turned the faucets "on" and she leapt out at their squeak. Which is more than she does in the shower, but anyway. She went looking for water and was concerned that there wasn't any. Heh.

Because books.

you never watched The Unit, Amy?

No. I probably haven't watched a military show since MASH.

brillig

I'm a winter baby. The endless sun means glare and heat and burning. I do greet the sun happily in spring, but then it Just.Keeps.Coming. The best times are spring and fall--and nighttime in the summer (if it weren't for the mosquitoes and whatever it is that lives in the grass around here)

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Is it the Solstice? huh. All I knew was it was a loooong day, and not necessarily in the good way. But it ended with cheap sushi and good ice cream, so that's good.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Balls, I turned my phone off earlier and forgot to turn the ringer back on, so I missed a call from my awol brother. Turns out the house in Boulder doesn't get good cell coverage so he hasn't gotten most of our texts & voicemails. And then of course he forgot to give me the landline number, so I had to email him for that...

argh. Anyway, here's to tomorrow being a better day than today...

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

It's 80 at 6:25am here. This does not bode well, but at least I'll be in the too-cold AC of work for most of the day....

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I wish I had taken off today as a beach day! But now it's too late to.
