The robots/1920s mix is interesting, to say the least.
I think you have to be completely honest with him about the limitations.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Yeah, time for some straight talk.
Well, there was a cat on my porch. I can smell him. But since Loki's calmed down to just sniffing obsessively, he's gone. It didn't spray, but posturing (unfixed) male cats do put out a serious stink when they are posturing...
So I met with the cook/PA for my folks, and my mother, who was nearly hysterical when I arrived. The woman is a former executive chef who, when the economy tanked, got her CNA and now does PA/general support for the elderly. She has a bunch of different clients and seems really flexible and level-headed.
After much talking and much repetition (if she didn't know Mom was demented, she does now), we agreed to a one-week trial and then, depending, three dinners a week.
The amount of emotional energy I'm putting into this is waaay out of proportion to the benefit gained, I am forced to acknowledge.
I hope it works out, Consuela. I think the long term benefit (just another set of eyes) will end up more, but the emotional scales don't play with the practical.
Holy Moly! R.A. Dickey threw another one-hitter. He's 11-1 with an ERA of 2.00. That's ridic.
Is that good?
And now I'm thinking of the movie Big Hand for the Little Lady.
I seriously don't even know what to do.
Aw, Sophia. Just tell the guy what you just told us. He clearly doesn't have a clue what he's really asking you to do, or how hard it is.
This kind of stressful crap is the reason why I now stop myself from offering to do favors for people. And I do mean "stop myself", because the impulse to "help" is strong in this ACOA girl.

I get that reference! t /Cap
But it's not that. It's unusual pitching dominance. Which usually happens when some young superstud throws the ball 100 mph. However, R.A. Dickey is a middle aged dude who throws a knuckleball which moves about 80 mph.
