Spike: We got a history, him and me. Fred: What? Spike: It was a long time ago. He was a young Watcher, fresh out of the academy when we crossed paths. It was a, what-you-call battle of wills and blood was spilled. Vendettas were sworn. It was a whole-- Fred: My God you're so full of crap. Spike: Yeah. Okay.

Goodbye and Good Riddance 2011: Maybe the even years are better

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. 2011? Room for improvement. Srsly.

Because books.

Blind eating? That sounds frightening.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Nah, don't be afraid of the dark.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Eating in the dark (I actually did it blindfolded, because it was a special event) is fascinating.

Really, 2011, you can go. Turns out that one day when I was out they handed out bonus checks - small ones, but still. Mine was left in my office ... but I never saw it. Really. I'm OVER 2011.

Oh, Todd, that is hugely suck!

Giftee, your package will be going out today. I hope it gets there in time for Christmas, but it will surely be before the end of the year.

Oh, for god's sake. Can you get them to cut you another one?

Thanks - they're cutting me another. Also the check reimbursing me for some office expenses I put on my personal credit card.

sigh ... guess I should be glad I didn't have my purse stolen.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I got a logo sweatshirt for Xmas. All the Americorps got one a month ago, but staff were going to have to buy them for $25 each. I guess no one did, b/c we all got one. They're nice zip hoodies, but if you want me to wear logo gear on site every day, you'd better supply it.

eta that sucks, glad they're cutting you new checks.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I'm not sure what the bonus situation is going to be like at my office this year, but frankly having a job where they let me ease back into things after my medical leave with a well-organized clearcut project that I don't have to manage anyone's work for besides my own feels like a bonus in its own right.

oh joy ... had my performance review

About what I expected. Everything needs work. No raise, but then no one's getting one.

Really, 2011. We're done.
