I'd rather stay home and watch television. It's often funnier than killing stuff.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

A further truth is that it costs you something to be supportive when what you want to do is go fetal and have someone take care of you.

Oh yes.

I have also learned that sometimes parents appreciate taking care of their children, even when it feels like it should be the other way around.

I shredded another bag of paper! I have one small bunch left to shred, but my shredder needed a break. That plus filing and etc also emptied out a rubbermaid container. Yay! I am excited to make these incremental steps toward moving, because I have moved ridiculous paper too many times.

I am repeating the Beverly is wise statement, because this is so, so true.

I copied and am saving it, dude. I'll attribute accordingly whenever I whip it out, even if it's just to myself.

Go, Jesse!

I need to text Dad and tell him I'm not up for thrift shopping today (sob!)

Well, boo. I hope that most of the exhausting week was fun anyway?

I just got back from a lovely tea at the Boardwalk Plaze hotel in Rehoboth -- my aunt treated the six women who are down already for our family reunion tomorrow. So sweet! And it was fun just catching up like that; it can be hard to do at the actual reunion.

The rest of the night I have to spend putting together the family trivia game for tomorrow. Some funny shit these people have sent me. Good times.

Ooh, that sounds fun! How big is the reunion?

Mostly, yes. But I realized that next week is even busier (and I just made the consultation appointment for my tattoo for Monday), so I need to rest & recuperate when I can. But maybe Dad and I will go thrifting tomorrow.

Jen - that sounds fun. I keep trying to tell my dad we need to do a reunion of his side of the family. My kids have extended cousins they have never met. That generation is starting to marry and have children.

I went out again. Needed to hit the store and instead of just grabbing the few urgent things, I did a full shop. Guh, feel even more crampy now.

How big is the reunion?

It really is so much fun.

It's not that big really -- it's the progeny of my dad and his brother (both of whom are deceased; my mom and aunt are both still alive and kicking) -- though we are four generations now. There will be, let's see... 28. So, you know, we don't need to rent out a hall and all that jazz. It's really two arms of the family that are closer than any other two on either side, which makes sense in my head... sometimes some of my aunt's family joins in, but not this year.

It really is cool, Suzi, and my one cousin and I are social organizery enough and into it enough that I really think we will keep it up on down the line. Then it'll be up to the next generation!

For some families what we call a reunion is probably, you know, extended Sunday dinner.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Phase one of my evil plan to hijack my niece's crappy disney princess obsession has begun...

Allyson, that photo is fantastic. She's so wee and fierce!

Jen, our family is in CA, FL, CO, and DC. Plus one aunt and cousin are in Germany.

She is adorable Allyson. Hijack away!
