While spending time and money at the dentist office isn't my idea of fun, I'm glad I'm finally getting the work done. Makes me feel like a grown up. The kids also have dental appointments cause I'm not going to go through this alone. Must share the pain.

I would have been making CA and/or WA travel plans for this fall, but the car thing ended that. Next year, maybe. It's been too long since I've seen my fellow Buffistae.

I have to say, I don't know I'd be traveling as much if it weren't for the fact my parents generously subsidize my travel. They don't have to, sometimes I refuse it, but these days, I'll accept it. I see it for what it is, my momma wanting me to be where I want to be, absent my penny-pinching ways.

Why don't you tell Scrappy's DH what you LOVED about your Jetta and give him a price range and see if he could scrounge up a short list from what's available and a good deal locally? I bet he'd do that for you.
