We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Pepperidge Farm makes Very Thin Sliced bread. It's very thin. 2 slices is less bread than in one regular slice.

Really? I'll have to pick some up. Thanks!

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Because then the argument would be, "good, let's just let rich people pay what they like extra, instead of raising taxes.". It's related to the idea that we shouldn't raise taxes on the rich so that their money can go to more efficient uses. It's also just meaningless for Simmons to give like 10mm to the government-- that's a rounding error.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I don't see what's wrong about jetting off to Cancun, any more than I see what's wrong with not digging up a root to boil for dinner and instead ordering in Thai if it is something that one can afford to do.

If I'm ordering in Thai and telling my landlord I'm $20 short on the rent, then I'm an ass. Because she's depending on that, and I agreed to pay it.

If I order Thai every night and tell the IRS, "oh, I can't pay my taxes, but I am supporting this Thai restaurant by keeping the delivery dude employed" I think the IRS would be like, "no, fuck you, pay it."

according to Twitter, the OWS LIbrary (and other belongings) is in storage, not dumpsters. So that's something.

Update to the update: thousands of books are missing, along with other materials. Much of what they have recovered is damaged. I guess tossing things into a garbage truck in the middle of the night is not the best way to safely transport property. Who knew?

Because then the argument would be, "good, let's just let rich people pay what they like extra, instead of raising taxes.".

That's someone else's argument. If Simmons is making an argument that he should pay a higher a rate, than he ought to pay the higher rate.

Another argument is, "let the rich decide to pay their own rate."

Another argument is, "let us decide that the tax rate is going to be similar to/less than/more than his secretary's"

Someone else could make that argument, bon, but that's not Simmons' argument or mine. It's not meaningless for Simmons to put his money where his mouth is. I think it's very meaningful. "we should pay it, we can pay it, and I did pay it" is meaningful.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Why would you get this watch when you can do this?

Suri's burn book.
