It's good to have cargo. Makes us a target for every other scavenger out there, though, but sometimes that's fun too.

It's not something you want to eat everyday.

Speak for yourself.

Can't, maybe, shouldn't...

My mother has a hilarious making gravy story... as in, she couldn't get it right, so she ended up with gallons and gallons of really crappy-tasting gravy.

I will eat homemade or jar gravy.

(Gallons and gallons is perhaps an exaggeration.)

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I'm making a veggie casserole for the Tgiving dinner I'm attending. Cream of mushroom soup, frozen veggies, fried onions, and the key? Jarlsberg cheese.

Time to roll with a budget punch - just got a call from car insurance that my payment was rejected by my bank. B/c that would be my old bank, the one I'm not using anymore. Whoopsies.

Thrive to spite them

I'm not sure what I'm doing on Thanksgiving. Hopefully working but food wise it may not be anything special.

Although I would like to try a Thanksgiving inspired pizza, but so far the recipes I've found feature cranberry sauce which I can't eat.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm supposed to be making spiced pecans, but I haven't gotten my ass to the store to buy pecans yet. I should get on that.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm not sure we're even going to "do" Thanksgiving this year. And I don't even care. I'm tired. I'll have five days off and I just want to sleep.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Cool. Monday Leif and I make a car out of life savers, twizzlers, and a fruit roll-up.

What kind of mileage does it get?

Mmmm, I do love homemade gravy at Thanksgiving. T-day is at EM's house this year, so she'll make a mushroom gravy with lots of sherry for JZ.

My favorite meatloaf is the meatloaf sandwich on ciabatta roll you can get at the meat market counter at the Ferry Building. It's served hot, with a molten core of cheese and smothered in delicious mushroom gravy.

In sum: mushroom gravy ftw.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'm driving up to have Thanksgiving with my parents. Then I'll be driving to Indiana on Saturday to see Monica, who will be at her Godmother's. So, lotta' driving for me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Burgers are pretty much my favorite thing, but I DO NOT like meatloaf. Dunno why.

I hear you. The idea of meatloaf makes me shudder.

Although my stepdad did used to call me Queen Carbo because I love bread so much.

When I'd go to visit my grandmother in the country, she always made sure there was bread and butter ready for me. When I went back to visit my mother last month, from her post-op sick bed she was all "Did you get bread for ita !? She needs bread." And, true to form, for the first couple days, all I ate was hard dough bread and yam (not the sweet stuff y'all eat--starchier stuff more like cassava).
