Honestly, if this guy hasn't heard of the Pixies, his opinion is irrelevant.

Did Mitch Mitchell sing on any of Hendrix's albums? Do backing vocals count? I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS.
Did Mitch Mitchell sing on any of Hendrix's albums?
He did not!
Apparently I'm feeling bull-headed today (this is the second "yeah, but" I've posted in 5 minutes), because (and I'm sure this is NOT the point that was being made) I have totally bemoaned the male-dominated-ness of rock bands. Why is it so common as to be unremarkable that a whole lot of the big-name bands (and a whole lot of the local/regional ones, as well) are all-male? I don't attribute it to a talent gap, of course. I think it's more likely an effect of music-scene culture.
Yeah, that. It's like how "no women" are brilliant sci-fi authors. Or whatever other field you want to name.

Smashing Pumpkins? White Stripes?
White Stripes?
No romantic involvements!
So Fleetwood Mac are definitely out.
Aaaaaand there goes the Mamas and the Papas. Wait, Mama Cass didn't do anyone, did she?
Shit she's a singer.
Erase her from the Rock n' Roll file, Hec.
Does that mean "boys" in all boy bands don't count either?
White stripes
He counts, she doesn't. I think that's how this works.
Robert Plant. Not a rock musician.
