Has there been some oddball change to Facebook in the past several days?

I only ask because twice in the past 3 or 4 days, I've clicked "home" on fb and found a pornographic photograph on it - not posted by one of my friends but posted by one of their friends or possibly commented on by a friend. WTF? It may be old fashioned of me but I think of FB as a public place and don't really want to be surprised by porn when I go there. (I unfriended that person).

I think the law only mandates time off to serve; not for mandatory salary reimbursement for time lost due to jury service.

This is certainly true. Teachers can't serve on juries during the school year unless the trial began prior to school starting. We don't get paid for jury service.

Wow, really? That wasn’t the case in the public school system in CT (or in my independent school here.) That blows if you actually get called since my experience has been that the judge could care less that I teach.
