"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

And I had the worst dream last night. Our baby had died, and I don't know whether it was supposed to be Sara or not, but it was awful. It went through a couple days, too, and I kept being hit in the gut over and over with "the baby is dead". Ugh.

That is distressing.

Matilda woke up crying in the middle of the night because she dreamed a classmate of hers had taken "three of my moneys."

Woke me from a dead sleep.

An hour later she woke me up because she needed a tissue. Again, jolted awake.

Then at 6am she woke me a third time because she'd kicked off her covers and was cold. Bah. Restless sleeping child.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Oh, Amy, I HATE those kinds of dreams that linger in the psyche and forebrain with a kinda of still-present grief. I"ve had a couple about mom or dad dying. They're AWFUL.

Need to go to grocery store. Got a check in the mail yesterday - WOO! We were scraping the bottom of the barrel. I think I'm going to make chicken noodle soup.

And it's dog-washin' day. ARTHUR, YOU WILL NOT BE STINKY BY THE END OF THE DAY. Enjoy your Corgi reek while it lasts! Corgis have a dense coat and undercoat, and he sheds like hell, and after a month or so between baths, he's kinda stank. No, really stank.

More coffee. Need.

It's a pretty day here. I think I'll walk the dog before the washing, and go to the store, and MAYBE try to hit Kmart and see if I can put some stuff for Xmas on layaway. I don't even know where the closest Kmart is, but I will find out!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Happy Birthday Hil!

Happy Belated Birthday Jess!

Happy day after your anniversary, sj!

Sunday mornings always seem so short, even when they just started.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I dreamt Colin got fat. Sorry Colin.

information libertarian

ita, you are looking at this study I think: [link]

I may have read a blog post commenting on it, pointing out the safety issue (which is I think glancingly addressed in the study) which I cannot find.

Because books.

Okay, I have ideas in the shower all the time, but really? How long are people spending in there?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Thanks for the birthday wishes!

I'm currently watching some YouTube videos to try to learn how to wrap tamales. It seems that everybody who has a Mexican grandmother knows that their grandmother's way of doing it is the one right way, and every grandmother's way is different.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Sunday mornings always seem so short, even when they just started.

Seconded.

Amy, guh. What an awful dream.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Yeah, I woke up in the middle of the night furious at my husband for something he'd done in my dream. Took a couple of seconds to remember that.
