That's great about the event, msbelle! NSM the rest, but....

That's a huge event, msbelle! Congrats! I'll be sending you beery wishes on the rest.
Today, Grace wore her passy-muir valve for an hour uninterrupted. This is a miracle. We've been using some of the applied behavioral therapy stuff to teach her to wear it. About 6 weeks ago, if you put it on her for more than 10 seconds she'd panic, fit and cough it off. So an hour is a really really good sign. The PMV is a speaking valve, so it's possible if we can get her to wear it regularly she can learn to talk. Of course she signs a ton now, but speaking would be excellent. She's still a little afraid, but if we can get her to vocalize that would be a start.
Sometimes, it seems like everything is a start with her. Buddha would approve.
Good job with the event, msbelle!
Uhg, long conversation (mostly good!) with my brother has convinced me I probably am now breeding a sinus infection. If not clear by tuesday, back to the clinic I go. Basically, pressing lightly between my brows is lightly painful, and 5 feet underwater is WOW EVERY SINUS CAVITY I HAVE. You'd think 10 days of anti-bs for the ear would have helped, but this started on the tail end of those. Uhg. He had enough good medically based arguments to convince me. I was going to have to telecommute a half day for appointments that day anyway, might just take another sick.
The thing is, I think this is going around. Sounds exactly like what he had a month ago, what my neighbor has now.
He also convinced me to start an aspirin habit. Hmm.
Oh, good job Gracie!
I found it. I found Beastie Boys slashfic.
I will never be okay again.
Sinus infection is not a ton of fun. Poor you!
Hooray for Grace!
Boo for sinus infection.
Also (while I am on a roll) Pumpkin just curled up behind a sleeping Loki and is passing out an inch from him. I think that's called progress.
I took piano for seven years, but I haven't touched it since college.
Yay for the fundraising success, msbelle! I hope the rest turns around soon.
Go, Grace!
Ugh, Sara. Go back to the doctor!!!
