"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I think the idea of a computer case as a table is pretty nifty.

I'm with ita. I'm not a fan of '60s furniture, but something like an old speaker with feet added would work.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Yesterday afternoon, a few students showed up at Paterno's house with rakes and raked the leaves on his lawn. I have no response to that, other than "people are weird."

Ooh, those tamales sound good, Hil!

I am apparently spending ALL the money. Yesterday I got waxed and a haircut and went to Babeland, today I bought a new iPhone and then somehow spent $150 at Target even though I only ended up with two bags...Eek!

I had a blind date scheduled for later tonight (from OKCupid) but she just canceled on me because she decided to exclusively see the person she's been seeing...who I suspect is my friend Heather. Ah well.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm feeling cranky today, and in a pouty mood, so I'm going to curl up with an Amy Garvey and some tea.

Also, my mother put in 4 earrings today. This is a big thing for her. She's a blinger. But she's been backing off prettying up since the surgery. We're trying to get her daily vestiges back.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

meara,

that is weird.

le n--well, we were supposed to meet last weekend but I canceled because of the pneumonia. And I *thought* I saw her (but hard to recognize someone you've only seen in OKCupid pictures!) the other weekend with Heather at the club...unless you meant spending lots of money at Target is weird. In which case I don't think I even know you. :)

ita ! prettying up is definitely key.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That sounds good for your mom, ita.

meara, recognizing people from OKCupid pictures is so weird in general -- there's a guy I always see at work, but I know he doesn't recognize me....

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

For my part, I made these delicious pumpkin-maple whoopie pies, but was too lazy to make them "mini," so I think my coworkers won't get any after all! I made 13, just ate one, will bring 6 to the family tomorrow, and I think I'll just keep the rest for myself.....

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Was very happy to get out of Target for under $20 recently. But I did feel likE I'd done something wrong.

Spoke with KCD briefly. Of course the issues from the other day aren't resolved, they are still in his court. Mad making. But I didn't want to push while babysitting.

Speaking of which, I have a sleeping baby in my arms.
