I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Many happy returns, Sail!

ION, the Phelps have decided to boycott Jobs' funeral. They announced this by posting to Twitter from an iPhone. ::facepalm::

I think you mean picket? Because otherwise, right on.

Thanks for all the birthday happies!

Here's hoping you find a replacement you like at not too exorbitant a cost, ita.

I think you mean picket?

D'oh! Yes, fixed. And yeah, the Westboro Phelpses. Ridiculous people.

Luck to your DH, Maria. I hope everything goes smoothly. {hugs}

I get to present my program to the Big Boss today, so I am dressed very well (grey Calvin Klein sheath dress, grey tights, grey heels, topped with a bright blue boyfriend cardigan and a multi-colored necklace). My boss has been very supportive that it's my program, not My Nemesis', so even though she's invited to the meeting, I'm the one giving the material. I am being sufficiently petty that I'm not showing her any of the maps & charts I have prepared beforehand.

Anyway, we're going to see if there's a way to get me in a position to be coordinating this program nationwide instead of just for the west coast. Assuming, that is, I get to stay. Oy.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Good luck, Suela. You'll rock it.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Please tell me the kid in question wasn't named Georgie?

Huh, now that you mention it...No.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Fingers crossed for a great presentation, Suela!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

As is often the case, the Onion has one of the best takes on Steve Jobs death: "Last American Who Knew What The Fuck He Was Doing Dies."

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Happy birthday, Sail!

Oh, dear, Scrappy. I think that Steve Jobs' misstep in this whole thing was evidently using math in any form or function.

I just nearly spat yogurt all over my (Mac, sob!) laptop. Well played, ita !.

Random Things That Make Me Happy: my Dad geeking out over preparing his costume for the steampunk convention I'm taking him to next week. While my relationship with the steampunk subculture is at times troubled, MY G-D are they my Dad's tribe. I have to remember to introduce him to Jake von Slatt at the con.

Happy Birthday, Sail!!

Guess which area is supposed to get the worst weather in the nation this winter? Chicago!
