And, honestly, I wish Paterno were quitting immediately. Fuck "finishing the season." I don't give a good goddamn about college football or his lauded career in the face of what is tantamount to abetting sexual abuse of children. His ass should be gone today.

Also, Tim and I are incredibly shamefaced at how we've fallen down on the job at getting together with you and your family to welcome you to Cincy. And, at this point, we're kind of slammed until after Thanksgiving. So -- maybe some time after Thanksgiving? We can e-mail about it.

It is a slammed time of year, and we have been being visited by all the family members who no longer live 10-18 hours away every other weekend. We'll see you some time!

Paterno staying until the end of the season isn't final yet. He announced that he's staying until then, but the board of trustees still has the option of forcing him out sooner. I don't think they will, though -- they're not going to want to cause that kind of controversy when the season is ending next month anyway.
