Played with Kaylee. Sun came out, and I walked on my feet and heard with my ears. I ate the bits, the bits stayed down, and I work. I function like I'm a girl. I hate it because I know it'll go away. The sun goes dark and chaos has come again. Bits. Fluids. What am I?!

Punishingly Intricate

I had an anxiety dream last night about not being able to apply filters to my project's action items spreadsheet correctly. I think I win for most boring dream ever. yay.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I actually dreamed last night about trying OPI's Rainbow Connection. I think that's the first time I've dreamed about nail polish. I mean, I love the Muppets and I'm excited about the collection, but really?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm laughing, but only because...cats, man.

Oh, I am laughing now too. I just wish I hadn't emailed the house keeper before I found Dita.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Poor Dita! And like Steph, I say that while I laugh.

On Sunday I had a similar thing happen. Discovered I left the back door open and got worried that one of the cats got out since she usually aims herself at open doors. Looked around frantically for her outside while Cody and Franny looked in the house. No luck. Then I found her curled up in Franny's closet.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Poor Dita!

There was a time when Trinian had *vanished*. No idea where she had gone. We tore the house apart, freaked out, and were about to start looking outside (tho' there was no way she could have gotten out) when we heard her chirp. She had jumped into a large box, and the flaps had pushed back up, hiding her.

Eh, she's probably used to it.

Since Loki HAS spent the night out front and on the deck, I'm really paranoid. Though to his credit, he stuck REALLY close. Add in the Pumpkin, who moves really fast and is completely fearless when it comes to new places (plus new to me and I don't know whether she was an indoor/outdoor, though clearly she prefers indoors, with no fleas!)....well, that one may be collared. She's already chipped, and we're gonna try chipping Loki next week. The other two have little interest in the outdoors beyond a cursory perusal.

Because books.

I had some clothes of Sara's from one load of laundry, and just glanced into her room and threw them on top of the laundry there in the basket.

Switch was in there. Never even moved, till Sara went to take one of the shirts I had tossed in and got a big surprise.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Aww, Dita. I know I probably tell it every time disappearing cats come up, but I have to because I love it so much. But my favorite is when all five of my feral kittens disappeared in their nursing room (they were living in the crawlspace, but while mamacat was missing we were handfeeding them. Every two hours. So we brought them in and out). I knew they hadn't gotten out of the room, but damned if I could find them. In the end? They were all nestled happily inside my Hartke bass amp. It was nice and soft and dark and denlike in there. And it was totally a monkey's paw thing...you could reach in and pick up a kitty, but you could not withdraw your hand containing the kitty through the hole in the amp. We just had to wait for them to get bored with it and emerge...hours later.

Dreams: The SO & I were messing around on the internet and looked up all this disaster stuff, like, what would happen if a Western volcano erupted, that kind of thing. We joked that it was a bad idea to do right before we went to bed because we'd have nightmares. And I did. But you guys know me and my mundane dreams. My big nightmare? Was that I'd failed to change the hotel reservations for my road trip this weekend. Even my agitated subconscious is boring.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

The day we moved to NC, we couldn't find one of our two cats. Freaked out that she had escaped or gotten packed into a box. Finally, finally, we found her - she had slipped into a gap between cabinets and crawled under the floor of the undersink cabinet. We had to pop the floor out to retrive her.

One of my roommate's kittens kept trying to get in the fridge, so she shut her in there, figuring the cat would start meowing in a few seconds and learn her lesson. She got distracted and there was no meow, but happened to go get some milk fifteen minutes later. Cat was literally and figuratively chillin', not stressed at all.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Central OK had another 4.7 tremor. Felt it here, but only recognized it because the same table shook the same way. Much weaker and shorter than the 5.6 on Saturday evening.
