I've never understood the two thumbs thing, either, which makes me slightly irritated by it in a I-know-it's-not-logical way.
Natter 69: Practically names itself.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
"Who has two thumbs and X" doesn't work online, because the payoff is the person pointing to themselves (with their thumbs) and saying "This guy!" I have no idea where it originated, though. It's been around forever.
Matt, thanks for checking in. Stay safe.
I used to be so terrified of crocodiles and alligators (I totally typed allegations...I shouldn't be preparing this presentation right now, I'm obviously word salading it up) when I was a wee thing. I'm glad I couldn't see this.
Annoyance noted. I will stick with Wooo-hooo when I celebrate from now on.
Over-explaining: I'm sure it started with people just saying, "Who just did whatever??" and then pointing their two thumbs at themselves and saying, "This guy!" [link] So then the thumbs got added to the narrative as well.
Matt, best wishes, and many good vibes. I'm so glad to hear that you got help, and happy to see you around here.
You don't have to stop using it, Sox! Don't be silly.
Matt, I hope you're getting the help you need.
My father convinced my sister and I that a crocodile lived in the crawlspace and was going to eat us.
Speaking of accents, the guy who plays the sheriff on Once upon a Time has an accent from no human country. IMDB tells me he's Jamie Dornan from Belfast.

I'm not that attached to it. It was a phrase, I used it. There are many phrases. Possibly some even more annoying than this one. I may go looking.
I like the sheriff, though. Mmm. I'm really enjoying the show, too. Snow White is badass.
