"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

DST was good for Emmett. He basically rolled that extra hour into last night's sleep, so getting up at 5:45 wasn't so harsh.

JZ's sick and after her coma-in-a-cup is zonked out. She'll want tea, and hot and sour soup for lunch and some cozy reading, and Shakesville & Te-Nahesi Coates & Mark Reads today.

I've got half an hour before I have to rouse Matilda and get her off to school.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I loathe DST. Both kids were up today at 4:30.

Do you loathe DST, or its end? Personally, I think it should go on forever. I much prefer it.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I loathe whichever one we're in now.

Because books.

Last night killed me -- I was so exhausted at ten, I felt like someone had run over me. And I'm a night person.

I hate that it's dark by five in the dead of winter.

Art Crawl!!!

I slept beautifully Saturday night - lots of interesting dreams and I slept last night too. And, it wasn't pitch black out when I was getting ready for work.

Meanwhile, rock on, Taiwanese fishermen!

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

For once, DST, didn't kill me. YAY freelancing! Although we are out of coffee, but I have tea, and need to make store run today anyway. Peach tea smells SO GOOD.

Darling, may I tag?

Mais oui!

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Saturday night I slept like the dead. I also dreamed that I my friend from high school and I went to Africa to help another friend of ours, then somehow ended up doing all of his work. Then somehow I was arrested while attempting to dye my hair blond and I missed the whole top of my head. And then a baby wooly mammoth came out of a shoot in the woods while I was avoiding police. That baby mammoth was super cute- white and fuzzy, with eyelashes like snuffeluphagus.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Good luck, flea!

I am trying to convince myself to take advantage of how early night falls by building a fire outside in the late afternoon. When I try to sit outside by a fire on a summer evening, it's way too late before the fire is out and I can go to sleep.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I slept really hard last night.

Then I woke up and decided to get on the scale for the first time in about 7 weeks. OMG, do I have to get back on the diet/exercise train!! I haven't exercised since the end of August, and the food I've been eating lately has been really crappy (lots of graham crackers, trail mix, and the occasional small ice cream container). So, the last of the sweets is on the common food table for the department, my swim bag is in the car for after work, and I will be going to my support group meeting after my swim tonight!!

Since mid-August I've gained 20 pounds. Aggghhh!!!

My goal is to lose 25 pounds by the end of the year. That'll finally get me down 200 pounds all told since the surgery. And then, I'm going to lose 30-40 more pounds by the end of June, when I'm going to England/Scotland. But more important, I'm going to be fit by then! I want to be able to walk all around London without getting out of breath, and then crawl into those tombs on Orkney without hearing my knees creak.
