Yes, there is. There's a hurry, Xander. I'm dying...I may have as few as fifty years left.

hip deep in pie

What makes it all ok though is that yesterday I bought a metal rooster for my backyard. It's not a 6' tall Beyonce, but a 1.5' tall one I've named Beauregard. He makes me happy.

t hearts msbelle

If there was a metal rooster in my backyard I'd be mumbling "Knock knock, Motherfucker." under my breath all the time.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I dread having to clean out the garage, let alone the whole house. Especially since I have spent the last year cleaning out my MIL's house and we are only about 1/2 done.

Yeah, although in their case it's the attic and basement. But yes. She's right, though -- my father can't deal with anything anymore, and she doesn't really want to. I don't think she'll do it immediately, but eventually for sure.

Thanks, Tom! I'll put it up.

There is a garden "art" store near our place that sells all of those things, including metal roosters TALLER than the 6' Beyonce. Flocks of them. I giggle every time we go past the place.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Jesse, Memere will move to an apt also? Maybe you should buy it? Rent to own?

Uh, Memere will die. Presumably. At some point. She doesn't mean immediately, just eventually -- especially (I imagine) if my father can't live at home. We'll see what happens, but she definitely does have a point.

That's awesome, msbelle. I've a fondness for the turtles and trolls and whatnot made from old metal helmets.

Slept a lot again today. I am SO over this. It's been a week, possibly 2, but with lower-grade symptoms. My sinuses are getting in on the act. Not infectiony, just full.

Because books.

I hated that my mom and dad sold their house, but they are so much happier not having to deal with the lawn and the repairs and all of it. It really was a great idea for them (although I worry that they chose a third-floor walk-up).

msbelle, slounge like the wind. Or the lazy breeze maybe.

Yeah, that's what she was talking about. Which makes sense, really.

Yeah, my parents like to go check out the local retirement homes/nursing homes because they get a free meal while the place is showing off. Oy.

But they do probably need to move at some point...but then they'd have to get rid of their STUFF...at least the current place is all one story.
