I'm trying to work something out regarding my facebook friends from high school. Compared to the friends I made as an adult, this list seems full of...I can't put it in any other term but Jesus Freaks. Seriously--daily devotions, praises to Jesus, thankful for Jesus and God-will-provide-or-at-least-has-a-plan kinds of posts. These are people who partied their way through high school. Drinking, drugs, sex and the usual teenage high jinx. None of them seemed overtly religious in school.
Did I miss an important Jesus Train or something?
Yeesh. I don't see much of that, but most of my more religious friends are on the lefty end anyway so it's a different kind of thing.
The religious people I've met as an adult are all on the left side of the spectrum as well. Devoted, to be sure. But much more pragmatic as opposed to making assumptions that God has this giant plan and is pulling the strings.
It's starting to creep me out.
Wow, brenda, congrats! And I think that was Consuela with the Farmhouse brother.
VVVVVEEEEEEEEEEP! Woo hoo!
Veep! Congratulations, brenda!
I had one friend from high school who went that way, Cash. Through her marriage, I think, but yeah, the girl who drank and partied her way through high school was last seen signing her emails with Bible verses and home-schooling her kids with a Christian curriculum. Huge surprise to me.
Does it come with a scepter? It totally should come with a scepter! Congrats, brenda!
